Area 16 - Ipswich.

The day started badly and did not get any better!!

One of team Emmersons ponies (Kevin) had been stung and had a sore leg. He was sound and went in his HOYS class, was pulled 2nd and did a lovely show but by the time he came to do his in hand he was unlevel where he had stood still so had to come out of the ring.

The curse of Kevin had struck!!

I rode a pony for a friend in the 12 SHP. It was the 1st time I had sat on her and although I did a nice show I managed to hit the wrong leg in my individual show (I did manage a nice gallop though).

Pip was next in the HOYS 1st ridden. When she came off the box she seemed slightly sore on her front hooves. After a few minutes of work it was clear she was not moving with her normal freedom. A quick dash to the blacksmith saw her fitted with some plates and she then appeared sound. She did not have any working in but still managed a nice go round and individual show. Then Kevin's curse struck again. Like him, by the time she came out for her in hand she was unlevel again. We had to come out of the ring and return to the box. PANTS.

Will she be sound for the Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead this weekend????? I'll just have to wait and see.

Love you Pip. x
